Workshop & milongas with Tamara Juhan

Tamara Juhan and Dörte Ricklefsen, Hamburg

Tamara is an independent and outgoing tango teacher. She is carrying on and further improving the knowledge that she has received from Graciela Gonzales, a tango dancer and the teacher of many of today's hottest names in worldwide tango - the teacher of the teachers.

Tamara taught in Ljubljana for the first time in 2001 (she gave the very first class dedicated to women). Her latest appearance in Ljubljana was that with Luis Bruni in February 2003.

Her assistant and partner for this workshop is Dörte Ricklefsen.

Tamara Juhan

In 1985 she began her studies as an actrice at the academy of Music and performing arts in Graz, Austria. After finishing studies, she’s been working in several theatres all over Germany. In 1994 she first met Tango, later studied it mainly with Graciela Gonzáles and Gustavo Naveira in Buenos Aires. She’s been holding her own classes for four years at several tango schools in Hamburg. One year ago she founded her own studio and Milonga, the "el abrazo".

Her specialty is working on balance, correct technique, profound contact between man and woman and female expression.

Dörte Ricklefsen

Dörte started to dance tango argentino by studying the techniques of Graciela Gonzales with Tamara Juhan. For the last two years she is teaching alongside Tamara (she mails dances "the feminine role" during workshops). Her expression is that of refined and exact movement.

She has improved her tango on workshops with renewed maestros: Chicho & Lucia, Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne.
